Circles

We’ll continue to add to this list of ongoing community circles here, please reach out if you are interested in participating.

Service Providers Circle of Care –2nd Wednesday of the Month, 9 AM.

While our work with people is very fulfilling, it can also be stressful. We need to practice self-care so we can be our best for others, and doing this together shifts the burden of self-care away from completely falling on the individual. Our conversations (always open for input) range from topics on vicarious trauma to how we hold differences, internalize concepts of time or on our experience of cycles. Meaningful conversations exploring our connection to each other, our work and ourselves –and how we can remain resilient.

Please reach out if you would like to participate.

Peer-Held Survivor of Violence Circle of Care –1st Wednesday of the Month, 6 PM.

Life experiences are part of and shape who we are, this too is true with experiences of sexual violence or of interpersonal abuse as well. These experiences can inform, in constantly evolving ways, how we may interact with others, our sense of safety or belonging in the world, with ranges of feelings and emotions from defiance and courage, to shame, guilt or ineptitude. This is a place to connect, with all the complexities we hold, with ourselves and each other on our vibrant healing journey.

Please reach out if you would like to participate.

Community Volunteer Monthly Meeting –1st Thursday of the Month, 4 PM.

Once a month Community Volunteers have an opportunity to gather, connect and share about how things are going with the person they may be supporting. Even if currently not working with someone, everyone’s perspectives, insights and contributions are appreciated. We also can use this time to workshop some tangible skills (reflective listening, open ended questions) or engage in deeper conversation on topics (boundaries, empathy) that have meaning in our work and lives.
